LE DEIST was born in Nantes and was self-taught until she moved to Paris in 1960.
At this time there was large number of painting academies in Paris, which placed at the disposal of students a workshop with models and lessons given by renowned painters. She was often to be found in André LHOTE's workshop. Since 1972, she has worked in her own studio near the Luxembourg Gardens.
She gave her first personal exhibition in 1970 and since then, LE DEIST has held regular exhibitions both in France and abroad, where her works are to be found in private collections : United states, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Italy, England etc.
